Description

These irresistible Red Velvet Truffles are a dreamy Valentine’s Day treat! Made with moist red velvet cake, creamy cream cheese, and dipped in silky white chocolate, they’re easy to make and melt in your mouth. A rich, bite-sized dessert perfect for gifting or sharing.

Ingredients

  • 1 box red velvet cake mix (plus ingredients listed on the box to prepare the cake)

  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened

  • 16 oz white chocolate

  • 2 oz dark or semi-sweet chocolate

Instructions

  1. Prepare red velvet cake in a 9×13-inch pan according to box instructions. Let cool completely.

  2. Crumble cooled cake into a large bowl. Add softened cream cheese and mix with hands until fully combined.

  3. Scoop heaping tablespoons of the mixture, roll into balls, and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet. You should get 35–40 truffles. Chill in the fridge.

  4. Melt white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or over a double boiler.

  5. Dip each chilled truffle into melted white chocolate using a fork. Tap off excess chocolate and place back on the parchment paper.

  6. Chill truffles until chocolate coating is firm.

  7. Melt dark chocolate, transfer to a piping bag or zip-top bag with corner snipped, and drizzle over truffles.

  8. Store in refrigerator until ready to serve.

Notes

  • For best results, make sure the cake is completely cool before crumbling.

  • Use a fork for dipping and tapping off excess chocolate to create a smooth coating.

  • These truffles are great for holidays and gifting—package them in a box with a ribbon!

  • Keep refrigerated for freshness, especially if not serving right away.
