Brownie Layer:

1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

2 large eggs

1 tsp pure vanilla extract

1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 tsp baking powder

1/4 tsp salt
Cream Cheese Swirl:

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg
-
1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat & Prepare Pan:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

Line an 8×8-inch pan with parchment paper, leaving an overhang.

Make Brownie Batter:

Whisk melted butter and sugar until smooth.

Add eggs and vanilla; whisk until light and glossy.

Sift in cocoa, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir until just combined.

Reserve ¼ cup of the batter for swirling. Pour the rest into the pan.

Make Cream Cheese Swirl:

Beat cream cheese until smooth.

Add sugar, egg, and vanilla; beat until creamy.

Spread evenly over brownie base.

Swirl & Bake:

Drop spoonfuls of reserved brownie batter over the cream cheese layer.
