Description

Creamy and refreshing popsicles made with earthy matcha and a rich cheese foam topping, perfect for a unique and cooling summer treat.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 tsp matcha powder
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Popsicle molds and sticks

Instructions

  1. Dissolve matcha powder in hot water, whisk until smooth and lump-free. Let it cool.
  2. In a bowl, mix the milk and sweetened condensed milk. Add the cooled matcha mixture and stir well.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar, salt, and vanilla extract, and mix until fully combined.
  4. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form, then fold into the cream cheese mixture to create the cheese foam.
  5. Pour the matcha mixture into popsicle molds, filling about 3/4 full. Add a layer of cheese foam on top.
  6. Insert sticks and freeze for at least 6 hours or until solid.
  7. To release, run molds under warm water for a few seconds before removing the popsicles.

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness by changing the amount of condensed milk.
  • For a more intense matcha flavor, add an extra 1/2 tsp of matcha powder.
  • Use silicone molds for easier removal.
