Description

Honey Garlic Chicken Breasts – Juicy, tender chicken coated in a sticky, flavorful honey garlic glaze! This easy, 30-minute recipe is perfect for busy weeknights, meal prep, or impressing family with minimal effort. A sweet and savory favorite that pairs beautifully with rice or veggies.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons butter, divided

  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour

  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon seasoned rice vinegar

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • Kosher salt, to taste

  • Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste

  • Green onions, thinly sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Cooking Base: Heat olive oil and 1 tablespoon of butter in a large frying pan over medium to medium-high heat.

  • Prepare the Chicken: Slice chicken breasts in half lengthwise for thinner pieces. Season with salt and pepper. Dredge each piece in flour until evenly coated.

  • Cook the Chicken: Add chicken to the pan and cook for 4–5 minutes per side until golden and nearly cooked through. Remove chicken and set aside with any juices.

  • Make the Sauce: In the same pan, melt remaining butter over medium-low. Add garlic and sauté for 30–60 seconds until fragrant.

  • Deglaze and Thicken Sauce: Add soy sauce and vinegar, scraping the pan to deglaze. Stir in honey, a pinch of salt, and pepper. Simmer for 4–5 minutes until thickened.

  • Combine and Warm: Return chicken and juices to the pan, simmering for 1 minute to coat and heat through.

  • Serve: Garnish with green onions and serve hot over rice or vegetables.

Notes

  • For a spicier version, add a pinch of red pepper flakes to the sauce.

  • Great for meal prep—store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
