Description

Smoky, spicy grilled chipotle burgers made with seasoned ground beef and chipotle peppers in adobo, perfect for summer cookouts.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
  • 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
  • 1 tbsp adobo sauce
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
  • Mayonnaise or chipotle mayo (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef with minced chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
  4. Grill burgers for 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
  5. Top with cheese slices during the last minute of grilling, if using.
  6. Toast buns lightly on the grill.
  7. Assemble burgers with desired toppings and condiments.
  8. Serve hot and enjoy.

Notes

  • Adjust the amount of chipotle for desired spice level.
