- 1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, minced
- 1 tbsp adobo sauce
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices cheddar cheese (optional)
- Lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles for toppings
- Mayonnaise or chipotle mayo (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef with minced chipotle peppers, adobo sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Form the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
- Grill burgers for 4-5 minutes per side or until desired doneness.
- Top with cheese slices during the last minute of grilling, if using.
- Toast buns lightly on the grill.
- Assemble burgers with desired toppings and condiments.
- Serve hot and enjoy.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of chipotle for desired spice level.
- Use ground turkey or plant-based patties for a healthier or vegetarian version.
