Description

Rich, creamy, and indulgent, this Chocolate Fudge Ice Cream is a decadent frozen dessert perfect for chocolate lovers.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk together the sugar, cocoa powder, and salt.
  2. Add the milk and mix until smooth. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring constantly, until the mixture is hot but not boiling.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in the chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
  4. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla extract.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a container and chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  6. Once chilled, pour the mixture into an ice cream maker and churn according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
  7. Transfer the churned ice cream to an airtight container and freeze for at least 2 hours before serving.
